The 41 DEVELOPMENTAL
​ASSETS

Developed by the Search Institute, the 41 Developmental Assets form the building blocks of positive youth development. The South County Youth Asset Network (YAN) is collaborating with organizations like the Teen Action Council, CAB: Luna y Sol, Empower Watsonville, and Jóvenes Sanos to integrate these assets into our community.

​What are the 41 developmental Assets? 
These assets, grouped into External and Internal categories, promote holistic youth development. The South County YAN members are actively working with partner organizations to explore creative ways to introduce and implement these assets in community programs.

​Collaborative Efforts
​Through regular meetings, the collaborative youth subcommittee of the Assets Builders Coalition of Santa Cruz is focused on amplifying youth voice. This involves ensuring that young people are co-creators and co-designers of implementation efforts for the project, creating a more inclusive and effective approach to youth development.
